Abstract
Fourah Bay College was founded in 1827, mainly to train clergymen and teachers. It has operated continually since its founding and was the only university in West Africa for decades. Since the 1960s, Fourah Bay has expanded the liberal arts base to include degrees in engineering, geology, marine biology and oceanography. |
