Abstract
Africa, with the highest death rate of any continent, high infant mortality, and widespread poor nutrition, has much sickness. But the number of doctors is very restricted and people turn to traditional herbalists (ngangas) or anyone who can help them. The herbalists are reputed to be able to alleviate diseases which Western doctors are unsuccessful in treating. |
