Abstract
X, 88p - An educational program to train both government officials and the personnel of local societies in the skills needed to supervise and manage an efficient system of co-operatives, appears to be a vital requisite for any policy on co-operatives. It is in this context that co-operative education finds a place in the wider national concern with educational expansion as a means of healthy economic growth. This report then, familiarizes one with the concept of co-operation and briefly traces the history of co-operative activities in Ghana. It also explores some determinations, which make co-operation viable; establishes the need for co-operative education in establishes the need for co-operative education in the country; and acquaints one with the present state of affairs at the country's Co-operative College.
