Abstract
This project will investigate the political and social consequences of the trading relations between China and Africa. This will be done accounting with Angola as the case study that it is a major exporter of oil and has turned out to be one of the most proliferous relations that China has ever had with an African country. My aim is to break down into details most of the Chinese policies and agendas towards Angola and to analyse if the relation has a strong balanced foundation or if there are some weak points that put Angola in a passive partner or an active player in the economic trading relation between China. In order to answer our research questions as well as our assumption I will apply neo-realism and neo-institutionalism as our philosophies of science. The Analyse is based on the Chinese policies, second hand documents such as books, articles and other digital documents that report data and information that will be discussed and scrutinized throughout this study, in order to understand what might be going on, as well as to answer my questions. Therefore, the project is built up deductively using theories to frame the understanding of the policies made and its impact in Angola economy, social and political organization. |
