Abstract
Despite many attempts to curb corruption throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, corruption remains to be one of the main reasons for NGOs to fail. This thesis analyses the motivations for actors to participate in the NGO sector. Additionally, the thesis uses literature to illustrate how corruption functions in highly corrupt countries. Finally, three case studies demonstrate how these factors contribute to the failure or success of an NGO. |
