This presentation gives an overview of African Higher education and research in the technology context, including mobile phones. Digital content is growing and there is a shift to openness. Why Open education? Answers: Access to knowledge, participation, visibility, influence, quality, academics' agency, knowledge as a collective social product: access and contribute. |
