Abstract
THE Advocate a journal of contemporary legal issues - There is a worldwide campaign to instil integrity into governance through zero level tolerance of corruption. It is asserted that corruption and unethical practices is responsible for the loss of over three hundred million U.S dollars worldwide, the resultant effect being a systematic reduction in the quality of life in the quality of life in societies where these practices are endemic.130 The Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) has passed laws, Corrupt Practices Act and Economic and Financial Crimes Act ad created corresponding institutions like the Independent Corrupt practice Commission (hereinafter referred to as ICPC) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (hereinafter referred as (EFCC) and augment existing laws and institutions in checking systemic leakages, restore integrity n the art of governance and make available socially created wealth for the overall improvement of society. |
