Abstract
THE ADVOCATE A JOURNAL OF CONTEMPORARY LEGAL ISSUES - The protracted and elongated military incursion into the political train in Nigeria has adversely affected and permeated every strata of our corporate existence. The multifarious maze of this invidious permeation has lent credence to divergent views on all national issues without exception. As a result, individuals and groups are prone to interpreting issues on the basis of biased lineage. Reasons are distorted. The military protégé is wont with fanatical crescendo to drum the infallible stance of any military policy or action irrespective of what is at stake. On the other side of this divide are the military nonconformists who in their own right remained glued to the notion that military aberration, no matter reason, has no positive dividend even of the minutest microcosm. Expectedly, there is that class that move with the tide -they are apologetic to the military and the political class so long as it is sunshine' for either. |
