Abstract Neste ensaio, estuda-se a ascendência do conceito de 'religiões de salvação', descobrindo as continuidades e descontinuidades que caracterizam essa herança. Demonstra-se que este conceito não é uma forma de classificação das religiões. É, sobretudo, um instrumento teórico para compreender a natureza da eficácia do símbolo religioso. A apresentação de dois contextos socioculturais diversos ' em África e no Atlântico norte ' comprovam a plasticidade própria das práticas e doutrinas de salvação. - In this essay, we study the ascendancy of the concept of 'religions of salvation', discovering the continuities and discontinuities that characterize this heritage. It is demonstrated that this concept is not a system of religious classification. It is, above all, a theoretical tool for understanding the effectiveness of religious symbolism. The presentation of two different socio-cultural contexts ' in Africa and the North Atlantic ' shows the plasticity of the practices and doctrines of salvation. - info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion
